Tree Cabling & Bracing
Mike’s Tree Service can come to your home or business and inspect your trees for potential hazards and/or defects. Many times these defects can be mitigated by using supplemental support systems. Cables and/or braces can be installed to support portions of the tree which have become weakened.
WHAT IS CABLING?
- Cables and/or braces can be installed to support portions of the tree which have become weakened
- A tree cable is a high strength cable made especially for tree work. Breaking strengths are matched to the situation and range from 600 to 15,400 lbs.
- Cables are attached to the tree using hardware such as J-Lags or through hardware as shown here
WHAT IS BRACING?
Tree bracing is also sometimes required in addition to cabling.
An additional threaded rod is placed through the split to help support the tree. The rod is cut off close to the tree and soon the tree will grow over the bracing making it invisible.
Mike adheres to the standards established by ANSI A300 Part 3.
Cabling and bracing can help to make trees safer and help keep valuable tress from falling down
